Avet SX Raptor

If any body on the fence about 1 of these SX Raptors GET IT! I used mine with a 800M fishin the rocks and got 3 40/50lb tunas fishin 40 NO PROBLEM with the reel...only other reel that comes close for the 40 shimanos talica 10II although i havent "field tested" that 1 yet......but sometimes you just know

 

I've checked them out and they are pretty sweet. I think I'm gonna get one for shark fishing and fish 80# on it. LOL

 

You should be able to no problem. I caught 2 25# C-bass on mine this year and it was no contest. Drags are sturdy on these little reels. I've heard some people say the MC cast sucks but the one on my sx raptor works well. I've tried throwing mine with 65# spectra with a Squid with a 3/8 oz slider and also with 40# mono with a Sardine with ease. Thanks again Get Bent and Avet!

 

Got this guy on the SX Raptor offshore last year. Reel worked like a charm.

 

If I get one ima take out the magnets so I don't have to worry about my free spool

 

Wait till you go on a 5-10-day trip. Mine are spooled with 350 yards of 50# solid spectra, and 75 yards of 30# mono. You will LOVE the SX Raptor!
