My friend told me to check out Lake Los Caneros in Goleta for some bass, bluegiill
    and catfish action.
    Perfect for a kayak.
Took Victor out for 1.5 hours after work Thurs, then Caesar on
    Sat AM.

Talk about best seat in the house!! Watching them from the rear seat say over and over-Dad, I got one, was worth the drive from Carp.
Like I said, they're not white sea bass, but it really was priceless to them!!!

One had a please release me-084 tag. Can be seen in the pics. I tried google but couldn't find any info on it. Measuring out at 11". Vic got beat though by Caesars
    !2".

Only Caesars 3rd time on the yak and part of his time was spent paddling me around while I fished.

Many fat bluegill to be had. Many in the 7-9 inch range. To bad they're basically
contaminated though by the agricultural runoff.

Lake was created in 1932 for agricultural usage. Not for drinking water. The place is getting choked up by the reeds. We picked up a bit of trash from the yak also. It was much bigger than I had remembered. Water clarity sucked. I hear shore fishing can be rough. Looked like you could use the ever present breeze to your advantage though if you thought about it.

Would go again, in fact I have to go again.
    Vincent wants his turn.......LOL

Nice going Paul. Looks like a great place for the boyz!

I have heard that lake holds fish but never tried it myself. Thanks.
