Met up with my buddy Dave last Thursday to do a little fishing at Castaic Lake. We checked various spots throughout the morning in an effort to catch some live shad. Once we found them and Dave made the mother-load of scoops, it was game on. We ended up with 85 bass, 1 striper and one giant catfish. Catching was pretty much nonstop and all you wanted. We had several doubles going and it was just straight up epic. Fish were boiling all over the coves and we had a blast sight fishing them, trying to pull our baits away from the smaller ones so the big ones could eat it. If you have a desire to catch a ton of fish and experience some of the best bass fishing you'll ever see, I would give Dave a call. He's a licensed guide and will put you on the fish. Not only will he put you on them, but he will also explain how he does it. School is in session! His contact information is on his website which is: https://www.facebook.com/davehorstoutdoors Here's a little video I made of our day.. The video has music in it, which is copyright. The artist will not allow his music on mobile devices because they don't show adds. Already looked into this but its out of my control. It's a youtube/artist thing.
Sweet Joey, I been thinkin bout draggin the tin can down there for a look. . . .. thanks for the post. . . and Dave is a great Guy. . . . you on the other hand. . .
Shad fishing with Joey is like giving a kid a big bag of skittles, a hour later he wants more and more and more.... Better than skittles
Nice video Joey. I like the double at about 1:45 that Dave handled it like it was nothing. Did you keep the Catfish? Those are great on the BBQ.
Nah, we let it go, Dave was too scared to clean it after I showed him the youtube video on how to do it. LOL
