Well gang, tough duty fishing with only 12 on the 90ft Condor but someone had to do it! LOL We rolled at 9pm with Capt. Rob, 2nd Vinny, Tad,Matt,Scott on Deck and Buddy's great food!!! After loading a bunch of small/medium dines it was off on a heading of South 160-165dg to start at 60mi to 80mi area. We stopped on umpteen awesome paddies, some the size of a garage door, all empty. Finally around 9 we found one with some decent grade yellowtail, then the yellowfin tuna came around so we shut down for a 3hr plunker for 16 tuna and 15 yellows. Once that stopped back on the troll. We got 4 dorado and some bigger yellows off a few paddies the next few hours, but the mystery was- ZERO troll jig strikes for 13 hours! :dunno: Running down a massive school of porpoise at 7pm, I took action, dropped back the plain small cedar plug and only minutes later KAWHEEEE, followed by two others. We got a bait fish too on that stop so ended up with 20 yellowfin, 20 yellowtail and 4 dorado for 12. We tried the tackle store, but bait on a 1/0 flyliner on 20, 25,30 all worked. One guy got 8 yellowfin in a row on a White/Green flatfall. Many of use tried the same with every other color combo flatfall for nada. Crazy. Only when I went down to 20 did I get one, lost the next when he sawed the 20 off, a 3rd just came unbuttoned. It happens. FULL MOON? Ha, well it was deep overcast and windy at sunrise so who knows. It layed down for a hot nice day, fun time for all. SooHoo got the big fat JP Yellow, and everyone got some fish. With this 12 veteran winder bunch, it could have been a slaughter. Soon after 14 straight hours, one very tired bunch was ready for the hot shower room and Buddy's killer lasagne dinner/salad. Straight to the rack for a good night's sleep coming home. See you all again soon, Thanks to Rob and crew and everyone! LOL Here's a few pics, I was busy fishing most of the time. Eating Ahi now!
