Ran all three days. Epic weather, awesome people, and really good fishing….

    SATURDAY
Started off at the islands for 5 nice yellowtail (all 18-25lbs) and a few big bonito (to 10lbs). Spent the back half of the day offshore, searching for tuna and marlin but no love.

    SUNDAY
Spent the day at the islands for 6 yellowtail, 3 calico (to 5lbs), 50+ bonito. On the way home found 5 acres of mackerel just inside the Gap. Trolled the area, no strikes and we did not see anything on the surface, but there was a couple big solo meter marks 80' down, guessing marlin or mako.

    MONDAY
Got an early start and found some great meter marks right out of the gate. An hour into the morning we got into a ripping yellowtail bite accentuated by doubles and trips resulting in 11 yellowtail (to 25lbs) and 7 bonito. About 50% on bait, 25% on surface iron, and 25% yo-yo. About 9AM we bounced offshore to search for tuna and marlin. Found 10 acres of mackerel puddling on the surface. Saw 7 marlin, baited 3 but no takers. Most concentrated area of marlin I’ve seen in CA waters and only a couple miles off the backside!!!
