Took trip down to santa barbara yesterday to look for salmon. Got there weather looked ok but got out it was a diffrent story. Started blowin hard and some pretty big swells. So instead of trolling we dropped down rock cod rigs and caught are first sand barred or kelp bass. dont know which but we were happy. Trying again today. Suppose to be better weather.
Good job pete halibut will be hear vary soon get geard up for the best fish in the water some say sea bass but every one no's (HALIBUT) after this weekend will be the more likey the last time up at the lake all ocean after this weekend of the trout derby.
Went out today and had to be towed in by the harbor patrol. I believe my yamaha 50 is no more. So my boat will be down for at least a week. Talk about being bummed. but on the good side its my week to take care of my disabled mom so it broke down at the right time. Ill have new reports in a couple weeks and im looking forward to hearing all you guys reports. Go get um.
