fish finder

    I was wondering if you guys had any input on what fishing finder to get for my kayak, I been looking at two :

    Humminbird PiranhaMAX 150 Fish Finder

    Lowrance X-4 Fish Finder

    Also open to any other type model u guys like more.

    Not impressed by lower end Humminbird products.
    You missed West Marines sale, Lowrance DSI Elite 5 for 300 buck-great for a yak

    Though I am not a yak guy I would say the Lowrance is a nicer unit. I ran a Piranha on my old aluminum boat and it was not much more then a depth finder. The Lowrance has a nicer screen and better quality but check to see how much power it draws to make sure you have enough battery for it.

    GARMIN 300c great little unit or LOWRANCE are great as well
