Okay...just got news that I will be filling in for a colleague and taking a business trip to the LONE STAR STATE! TEXAS!!!

    The dates are:
    March 23 ~ 25 in Dallas
    March 26 in Austin
    March 27, 28 in Houston.

Now, my "Ninja" senses are telling me...if my hotel in Galvaston is DIRECTLY facing the bay...GO FISH!!!

So, this brings me to my point.
If one was to do a little late night ninja fishing session on the bay...
    1. What am I targeting?
    2. What gear should I bring?
    3. What is the choice bait, lure, jig...etc?
    4. Who's down to guide me, in exchange for a Kencor hat? (They're really nice hats...LOL)

I'm assuming that spinning setup, 12~15#, 30# braid backing, DOA glow shrimp for possible reds or trout? Am I totally off the mark??

I have business trips almost every month it seems, I'm gonna make it a point to fish at all or most of them!! LOL!!! FYI, BOSTON is next on the list!!

Fishing south Texas is like fishing in Florida, the gear you have in mind will work. If you're going to boston contact Moogie or Phestarus they're in that area!
