7' + Seas, 20kt + winds and 2' intercoastal chop - Going fishing ANYWAY. Will attempt the Inlet Flounder Pounder Drift or anchor up in some shelter. If it's to rough for that then we will hit the Sebastian River - Flounder is up first, then Snook and Redfish followed by anything that will bite - Goby's and the Catfish King will STRIKE

Launched at 6:30 AM. Ocean was NASTY - 7' easy and quick too. Inshore was not bad at all, never saw anything near a 2' chop.

We were able to play the Inlet Flounder Pounder Drift but NO LOVE. Headed over to the Sebastian River and trolled up it and hammered the Lady Fish. Finally dropped the trolling motor and and worked one small area. An EASY 60 Lady Fish later we headed to Disappearing Island and scored some excellent bait, big baits.

Took are baits and headed back to the inlet, anchored up and hoped for a big Redfish but again no love so finally packed it in and headed home about 4:30 PM

So ended up with a few Mangrove Snapper and tons of Ladyfish, I have plenty to make chum and save a few for shark bait as well.

So home, boat is clean and it's dinner time - See ya out there.

Yeah not what we were looking for but Lady Fish are always something to keep you busy. These were small, about a third of the size we usually get but we hammered them hard, to the point we left with them still biting but after 60 of them slimy things you need to clean up.

Looks like the family reunion is tentatively scheduled for July 20 through 23rd. We will be on vacation already so will drive down from Washington to the Ventura/Camarillo CA area to visit friends and maybe sneak in a fishing trip then head to Vegas. Might get there a day or two early or stay a day or two later if all works out so I can fish with ya.
