Haven't posted a report on here in quite some time, so I figured I would write one today.

Fished the ISLANDER on a 2.5 day this past weekend. 24 passenger limited load on a Fishermans Access Tackle charter. Great group of guys and the boat perfectly outfitted for multi-day trips. If you are going to do San Diego, pay a little more and go on the Islander. The crew fishes their tails off, the chef cooks up insane meals and snacks and water/soft drinks are free. Bunkroom accomodations really make you feel comfortable.

Anyways, we departed Fishermans Landing at 8pm on Saturday 8/9/14. Loaded up on medium sized anchovies and shoved off. #1 and #2 ringed hooks were tied to the 20-25 pound rigs and yo-yo irons were tied on the 30-40 pound rigs "just in case". Sure enough, they were needed.

Fished fairly close to home and the YFT were WFO. My dad and I caught our 2-day limits the first day. I think most everyone on the boat did. A couple of kids on there caught their first tuna, cool to watch. We got word that night that BFT was now open in Mexico, YEAH! We headed down there and were working them all day. Ended up with 20 for our efforts 40-90 pounds. I caught JP with the 90 pounder on 40 pound with a Tady 4/0 Blue and White jig on the drop. Fish were down deep.

    Go gettum guys
