Hello brothers back in the days of old we use to throw live mackeral in the middle of those heavy kelps. So I grabbed some clay and got to work on a new bait that I think might get the attention of them big girls who love to hide on the outskirts of them kelp mats. The bait is still in its rough stages but I will soon give it some more love to get him nice and smooth. I will shoot up some feedback once I get this one to come to life and field test it. Have a good day gentleman.

Will the Clay fall apart once it gets wet? Never thought of doing anything like that but there is a big bucket of PlayDough in the Basement left over from my kids. Do you run wire and hooks swivels before you mold it?

Just FYI, the original post is over 10 years old.

To answer your question though, the clay is only to make a positive of what he wanted to make. Then he molds that out to make a negative then fills that with a plastic to make a swimbait out of it. If it works well then me makes more molds to do different colors or what ever he may want to change.
