I, in past just cut the line at mouth-was told by old-timer that in most cases the hook will fester and release out of gullet! ? fish are pretty good at expelling stuff ? I bet not same case-time line with modern plated hooks? I still cut line and cpr and release if them if not bleeding but hook to deep to remove with out damage. My two cents. My new Asian G-friend eats em all, mackerel her favorite? I still prefer a Jalima burger!
