Hello All! A little overdue, but here's my report for the EPIC cow tuna trip the DARK KINGS just had on the MAXIMUS!!!

Keith and his crew, Alajandro, Super Mario, and Armando are grade A+!!!
When it comes to making sure passengers catch fish and have a fantastic time they have it all dialed in. The Super Seeker boat rods and Accurate reels seemed brand new and worked like a charm! Upon jumping on board Keith gave us the low down and what to expect as well as tackle that's been working. He also showed me the two rods that I would be using for the trip, already rigged up with liters and hooks!!!! All Gucci grade, too. No messing around here!

Day 1 - 6:30am Captain Keith rings the bell! Lets get those rods out and get baited up! I'm on the kite first thing, per my request. I was eager to learn how to use it since I've heard so many stories about it. While I was watching the little pink flag and the kite, Keith brought it to my attention that I was making the bait fly!!! Ohhhh whoops! Rookie move! Head slap! After that I had it under control. Bajadave, Nester, and Andy hook into some big boys (YFT) and TommyT got a normal sized one over the rail that looked like a miniature for a while!

Day 2 - Still on the kite! But alas Captain Keith gave me the option to flyline or plunker while Alajandro and Super Mario attended to the kite for me. Alajandro hooks one up and hands it off to me. BAMMMM!!!! I'm on that big boy like white on rice! With assistance stabilizing the rod as I reel from Keith, after 30 mins we got him over the rail. I was still in shock and couldn't believe that really happened! My PB and biggest YFT ever, well at that point! 175lbs that later won JP for the day! Not soon after Keith shouted "Dorado on the kite!" I said hey I've never even seen one of them in real life! He insisted on me reeling it in! Talk about amazing! They are so beautiful and jump so much when you fight them! Nat Geo eat your heart out! While all this is going down all day for me, Baja, Nester, Andy, Spanky, Sam, and Vladi bring a few cows and almost cows over the rail!!! EPIC DAY!!!

DAY 3 - An unbelievable day! Started out slow as I kept getting retarded baits that wanted to swim back to me! Rather than get frustrated and negative, I thought back to day 2 and how many awesome first's I got to experience! But I got a little fired up for a minute and decided to pin on my own dang Caballito and lob it out the back of the boat without a helping cast. Lo and behold my bait started going haywire and my rod started going off! I exclaimed "I'm bit! I'm bit!!!" Boy did that draw a few giggles and chorts! Man oh man we could all tell that this was gonna be a massive fish and an even more giant fight! But, after to failed attempts at the gaff, the third try was the money shot! BUH BUH BUH BLAAAMMMMMM!!!! 2 HOURS later and 5 guys gaffed my fish with 5 gaffs! They got that big boy over the rail! Measured longest so far! 282lbs!!! NO WAY!!! NO WAY!!! I was tired as all get out and after the photo session I felt like I was so done, well for a while at least! Still can't fathom that this happened to me! It's all thanks to Baja and Vladi for steadying my rod and doing the line Wicked Tuna style!!! I had the best support team anyone could ever ask for! A couple hours later Nester hooks up to a 301.7lb Super Cow!!! WOWZA!!! WTG Nesty Boy!!! After all, I don't want to look greedy and get JP two days in a row, right? Gotta let the boys win some, too!

This was the trip of a lifetime and I hope I get to do it again next year! Captain Keith is a class act. Alajandro and Super Mario are dedicated and hospitable beyond belief. Armando, the chef, put up with me and my picky palate with no grief! His salads are amazing!!! He's also pretty darn great at frying up YFT and DoDo's! I would definitely recommend this trip to the experienced tuna angler. You WILL be satisfied!!! Thank you to my Dark King brothers, Bajadave, TommyT, Spanky, Nester, Andy, Sam, and someday Vladi! I love you guys! Burn, Burn, Burn! The Ring of Fire!!!

A very special thank you to MAXIMUS SPORTFISHING, Captain Keith, Alajandro, Super Mario, and Armando!!! You guys are what a well oiled machine should be!!!

Thanks for the report Jens, AWESOME!
We also had the opportunity to catch jacks and amberjacks during this trip.
Nester caught about a 80lb amber that was amazing.................
