    Fishing Report
    <HR>

    Date: Monday, August 18, 2003

    Time: 9:00pm till 2:30am

    Location: The Pier, St. Petersburg, Florida

    Conditions: Tank Top and Shorts weather, Calm Bay

    Tide: Fished through High Tide and the Outgoing

    Set Up: Carolina Rig, 1/2oz. Sinker with #4 Bait Holder

    Bait: Had Shrimp, Squid, Herring and Mussel (Mussel was the hot ticket)

    Catch: 1 Sheep Head, 2 Cat Fish, 1 Mother-in-Law Fish, 1 Cow Fish, 23 Angle Fish

    Comments: What a wonderful night. Two new species of fish caught for me to add to my list, wonderful show by mother nature in the distance wit her own form of a fireworks show. Didn’t want to leave as the bite was hot although the average size fish was between 12 and 24 inches. Had to be up at 6am though so left while they were still biting.

    I am having problems properly ID'ing all the fish as I left my Florida Fish ID Book at home.

    A Mother-in-Law Fish = Big Teeth, VERY mean and very ugly

    I belive it is called a Dog Fish or something for real.
