When was the last time we had tuna in the counts of the 3/4 day boats in Ventura County? And people catching marlin every day?

This is a crazy year! Hope it continues for a while.

3/4 days getting tuna, thats amazing. Does that mean they are at the islands or are they going way offshore?

I believe you are allowed to fish tuna and billfish over the footprint reef? Ya may find them there including Marlin. also they are under the dolphins I heard?

I am pretty sure the Footprint is a State and federal reserve where no fishing at all is allowed and the fines are pretty stiff. It's a shame they didn't make that a "Conservation" area where rec fishing for pelagics is allowed like above the west half of Anacapa...

Pretty sure Wild West is spot on with this info. I'm hearing from boats that they cannot follow the fish into the Footprint closure.

Behind Santa Rosa. Won't last long. Commercial boats are cleaning up. Get it while the getting is good.
