The surf was fading for the weekend and my surfer buddies wanted to pull on some tuna. My regular Bryan, Dave, Brett and I launched out of DP and picked up a nice scoop and and half of medium sized sardines. All the reports indicated the 267 was doing well the last few days so that would be our destination. Saw and fished a bunch of paddies on the way, but none were holding. The recent swell has loaded the waters with tons of paddies and hopefully they will have fish soon.

Started working the bank and immediately spotted birds working and breaking tuna. Bryan hooks up an hands off to newbie Dave and about 15 minutes later the deck is bloody! Dave's first tuna and he's stoked for another one. I hooked one as well and handed off to Brett. A short while later tuna #2 hits the deck. The school was gone, so we continued our search.

School number two was more of the same. I hooked a fish and handed off to Brett. Grabbed another rod....hooked another and handed off to Dave. Meanwhile Bryan was on again and I was assigned gaff duty.

This was pretty much the deal all afternoon and everyone had a blast. Good fishing with good friends.
