My most important gear in fishing is my reels!
Rods for me. My rods need to have the right actions for different applications. Reels, reels are more versatile especially if you have extra spools for quick line pound changes.
My wife, not really. Everything about fishing is important to me but mostly MONEY to go fishing
Rods for me, they are far more custom than my reels.
Me cuz if I ain't there I can't fish!!!
that's easy my beer
A real job to pay for my fishing habit!
Bait choice, and a Job like Randy said to pay for Honda motors LOL.
The line to which the knots are tied.... so actually even though its not "gear", I have to say the knots. Oh and water to fish in.
My attention span....as long as I can pay attention to those who are catching fish, I can figure out the pattern.
Sometimes I get lucky and figure it out before others do, so my memory comes in second.
All of this supposes that I go on trips that have goos fisher folks....like the GB charters.
I'd say rod. Without a good rod, you cant hit the fun zone!
Proper clothing. I can fish with a bent stick, twine, and a fishbone hook...but If I'm soaked from head to toe and cold...fishing ain't gonna' happen.
Beyond that I'd go with my reels. If they're not working perfectly then I'm screwed. Can't cast, can't drop down easily, and if you hook something decent the reel can malfunction. Next would be good line. I love my poles, but I can't use them if my reels ain't working, and they're not much good if the line breaks.
lots of Ibuprofen after sitting 6 hrs plus, and Cazadores
The gray matter between my ears.
