Checking on it but will be bringing my 2 8foot tallus rods and my 6.6 40 pound Gloomis and maybe a light rod for some swim baits or flashers from the surf. I plan on making up for the lost fishing this season.

BUT, how many poppers, feathers, rapalas, swim baits, torpedo sinkers, irons, slider sinkers, rubber core sinkers? Colors & sizes? And what about extra reels in case something goes wrong with the 1st choices. Spools of line?
Oh my God! The decisions! And what about all the stuff I forgot on this brief list?

There are some stores down there selling tackle but, it's the cheap stuff...........if you're using spectra make sure you have extra line for your top shots! But Flipper and I didn't have trouble getting spooled except for a couple of times!

Larcus.........bring 2 Jigmaster 500's, 3 sets of T-100 drags, 6 extra spools spooled with #15, 20#, 25#, #30, #40, #50 spectra..........if you are worried............my experience going down there soooooooo many years you don't need alot of tackle. If you want to carry the extra weight goooooooooooo for it!
I personally am bring 1 tackle tray......contents Rapala CD 14's Black & Purple, Grn Mackeral, Silv & Blk....Mirror Lure Blu Mackeral, 2 Cedar Plugs Blk & Purp, Natural Cedar. Pack of ring Owner & Mustad hooks #1, #2, #1/0, #2/0, #3/0, #4/0. Some Mexican Flag feathers, 2 packs rubber core sinkers, 20# Tyger Wire, Chartruese Storm swimbaits, 4-Chartruese Megabaits. I end up giving away to the Panga Captains on the last day most of my gear as a tip.......I also make them Gaffs as presents. I am bringing 3 rods, 4 reels 1-Tor 14, 2-Tor 16, 1 Tor 30, Bulk spool of #20 and #30 for whoever needs it.....end of trip I give leftover line to Jonathan. Larry it's a no stress trip except for winning JP everyday!

I've been packing for the last week! Flipper came over last night so we could go through the marlin and wahoo gear.

I need a few more packs of hooks and I'll have everything I need. Then I gotta go shopping for clothes...

By the way guys, I was told by several people, don't wear dark colors! You'll die out there from the heat.

Take clothes that are ready to be thrown out (your wife will help you) and fish with them then leave 'em there.

Actually when you bring your good fishing clothes, when I pack my cooler with frozen fish, I put the dirty laundry in wet to insulate the fish.
