Thumbs up I Take Delivery This Friday now Tuesday

That's right. My belated Christmas present arrives Friday evening.

A brand new Hydra Sports 2300 Bay Bolt with a Yamaha 250hp four stroke. She will have to go in the back yard as at 23' long and 9' wide she won't fit in the garage.

You can see one like it here but ours will be midnight blue in color and with the 250 four stroke: Few The Hydra Sports 2300 Bay Bolt

After its 20 hour service it will get the second live well installed and the electronics.

Pictures to come Friday evening or later.

So I need to name it (thinking maybe GET-n-BENT, Sinker's Sled, Inside Out or something) and then have the graphics designed for it.

Will be mostly used in-shore but will be more than capable to take me 30 miles off-shore on nice days and can hit the near shore stuff when it is only so so out.

More to follow....

Nice ride, Sinker! Congratulations

9' beam is sweet.

You say the boat is too long for the garage? Do what we did with our jet boats - cut out the back of the garage to fit. (yes, it was a rental house.)

I can see $6K (retail) in electronics being dropped in one weekend.

Surely those 8 rod holders are way too few. Is a tower for the radar, vhf antenna, and rocket launchers on the option list?

I especially like the access hatch in the front of the console. That's an idea I may apply to my whaler.

The T-Top was indeed an option but I chose not to go with it so that I can go under the low bridges to get where some of the Tarpon play and such. I did get a Bimini Top for it though which I will use when the family is with me and when I go offshore.

Unfortunately my office is on the back end of my garage so no cutting holes in it heheehe - Good idea though.

Electronics is as follows:

Flush Mount on the Center Console:

Standard Horizon CPV350
  • Standard Horizon CPV350
  • FF520 Black Box Fish Finder
  • Thru-Hull Bronze Transducer
  • East Coast Map Chart Card
  • Gulf Map Chart Card
  • Shakespeare Galaxy 5415 VHF Antenna
External Removable Mount

Humminbird 997C Combo

  • Thru-Hull Bronze Transducer
Also a

Garmin 152 GPS

Allot of redundancy and backup here I know but I will also be able to run each one on it's own:
  • Garmin 152 for Point To Point Navigation
  • Humminbird for the Fish Finder (has side scan and 3D)
  • Standard Horizon for the VHF with Chartplotter on and has full GPS Integrated Distress Calling
Last but not least I also have my Uniden Mystic Handheld as a back up as well:

Uniden Mystic
