you already have 2 footitis..never going to get something big enough..i am against an outboard..thats just me..im a VERY heavy user with over 500 hrs last year..i would toast one of those quick. I have plenty inmind..i will expand at the boat show when we go..its a big decision , take your time..do your research..have a surveyor look at it too..If you know enough about things then thats not needed.

Phishy, I'll take all the advice I can get. Like I said, it's gonna be a few months, and I really wanna do my research. I kinda want an outboard for simplicity (less places for the boat to sink, LOL). However, that doesn't mean that's what I'm gonna want after I read up a bit...

The first thing i did with my BRAND new boat was drill a 2 1/2 in hole in it for the transducer....now talk about nail biting..gotta love it.
There are some great deals to be had right now on used boats. I dont think i remember ever when there has been a flood of quality used boats on the market. How about financing? as i said...2footitis..good advise i always hear on the forums..buy your next boat first!

these new 4stroke outboards from Honda etc are just more economical and pretty easy to work on. Alot of guys i know are bailing their big boats and gettin smaller ones with twin outboards. Theyve got killer warrantys as well

Actually, A good friend of mine is in the boat business in NH. He runs boats back and forth all over the country. If i find somehting I like, all I gotta do is pay for gas...Of course, kinda makes it hard to window shop, LOL.

Does anyone have experience with SeaRay Laguna center consoles? They look like nice boats and can be had for pretty decent..

Sea Ray are solid boats but not really fishing boats for the most part. The Laguna Series just came back into the market. I looked at their bay boats when I was ready to buy. They were about 10K less than what I ended up getting but you could also tell why when you stepped into one. Probably a good bare bones boat though.
I still have the brochure here as I just got them all together to put in the trash this morning.
Still thinking about keeping the Everglades Brochure as those are some SWEET Boats. - Pricey but SWEET.
