Well, it floats and goes about 32mph. The steering is jacked up and the helm is too low. And the motor is a pain to get started.

Thats all I have to report for the first sea trial.

Current projects:

Raising helm
Replacing steering cable
Installing larger gas tank
Getting motor tuned up.
Installing VHF
Installing bait tank
Replacing prop

And a bunch more stuff...

Damn boats....

Don't spend money to have somebody else tune it. Just change the plugs (make sure you gap them properly) and rebuild the fuel pump. Total time is about an hour for both projects and the cost should be under $35. You can do it!

New plugs have already been installed. I am 99% sure it is throttle linkage or fuel mixture settings and 1% that it's ignition. Once I get the steering situation resolved I'll dig deeper into the engine.

Tell ya what though, that boat is FAST. It does about zero to 30 in about 4 or 5 seconds. Me and jackpot were both standing at the helm and I hammered it. If I didn't left off the gas, we might of flipped it backwards.

Should be alot of fun when it's done.

I just finished building the center console raising base tonight. Came out sweet!

Joey do yourself a favor and install a few L.E.D. courtesy lights in the Center console. They will be a valuable asset when hooping man.

Can't wait to see progress pics and then the finished project.

Waiting anxiously.
