$8000 for trophy?

hey guys i'm out here in NY and was looking on craigs list and found a 23' W/A Trophy for sale. its only $8000 heres the info that i got so far from it.

19HRS ON REMAN 250HP YAMAHA,2 MUCH 2 LIST CALL GREAT FISHING BOAT TURN KEY READY 2 GO,LOTS OF EXTRAS
BOAT DOES HAVE A GD TRAILER BUT BRAKING SYSTEM DOES NOT WK EXTRAS ARE WASHDOWN,CANVAS,TOILET,DUAL BATTERYS,VHF,DEPTH FINDER,TRIM TABS

and i'm sure there is more. i'm not sure what year the motor is or the hull but if the motor only has 19 hours on it it must be fairly new. he told me its still under warranty. does this sound like a good deal? should i bother to go check it out. what is your opinions guys?

It is a remanufactured motor, what about the rest of the outboard?

Needs brakes.

Turn key? I don't think so.

so you think the motor is remanufactured, ok. i never thought that but makes sence now. the trailer needs brakes i guess. i prob will not waste my time going to look at this. being in the coast guard, i really don't get paid enough to afford a boat. and gas prices here in NY are up over $3 now. GOOD GRIEF.

According to the post you made. "19HRS ON REMAN 250HP YAMAHA" and re brakes? "TRAILER BUT BRAKING SYSTEM DOES NOT WK" WK=work.

You could check it out if its close to you, but it should be priced considerably less. There is a difference between "remanufactured" and rebuilt, but you'd need to know the quality and reputation of the remanufacturer. They should provide warranty papers if remanufactured.

But yeah you're probably better off shopping around. Drive by some storage yards, check out their poster boards "for sale" or look for signs on boats.

ya what yak said. Need to know year if it is an 89 then depending on the remanufacturer of the motor and the condition of the boat it is worth it. That is about a 3500 pound boat do you have something to tow it???
