Question Advise on cleaning my canvas

Anyone have any advise on the best way to clean a canvas top? I have a white canvas enclosure that is getting mildew stains and filthy dirty. The eisen glass is perfect and the canvas is in good condition otherwise. I am sure there is a way to get the enclosure clean again but I am not sure what to use or the best way to do it without damaging it. Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

Simple green for sure. Will take the stains out and kill the mildew. You can use a rag to apply if you can't take the top off with any ease and won't get it all over. if you can take it off turn it upside down with a wide floor broom you can put it on 50/50 and even use some oxy clean to help ya scrub it out. It worked on my boats top real well.

Whats up Drew..How was La Paz?
I have tried Simple Green even with a stiff brush and it did ok but not as good as I want it. I am thinking of taking the canvas off and using a cleaner like Simple Green or CLR like Randy suggested then hit it with a pressure washer in the driveway. anyone see a problem with that?

Just watch you don't get to close to the canvas with the presser washer end. It can cut right through it if your not careful. I am sure you know that already but just making sure.

LaPaz was great I was missing it as I sat in 3 hours of traffic today on the freeway.

My boat was sitting on the fence at the DP harbor for three months..Lots of bird crap and I tried everything..Then it dawned on me that detergent and a stiff broom might work..It's all clean and phosphate free..oh yea I poured some color bleach in the mix...

Regardless of what you use to clean the canvas (Sunbrella) you should plan on buying some waterproofing spray. The cleansing proccess will most likely remove some of the waterproofing, and you will get leaks. Dry the canvas and spray it up.
