I had a force on my boat I got luckly it was a goodun but I heard about all the problems I got rid of it and bought a rebuilt rude best motor yet ive owned sorry bout the luck im a trader let me know what size you need and what kind Ill see what I can find I only deal with freshwater NO corosion hope this helps 3 votes for losing the force

Did you see the exploded pinion and gears? When I drain some really often used lower units I see metal particles( flour size ) and they are usually from the clutch dog.... normal. Apart from something really "exploding" in there which is rare I have never seen a pinion crack in half or otherwise. If so though you had to have some kind of hit to the prop and it should show on the prop, as in a chunk missing. If you did hit something that hard you would have definetely noticed it.
