Name Carnivore’s boat contest.
This is not a sanctioned contest of get bent sportfishing LLC.

The game where nobody wins, even the winner.

Unless you call fishing with me all day winning.

Ok it is time to name my new boat and I am looking for ideas. I had Blood Thirsty picked out with Blood Sport as a back up but the women in my life, namely my mother, sister and niece all say it is to disgusting. Now being women they started naming off names and none of them were manly enough so I figured let’s make a contest out of it.

The winner of the contest will get a day of fishing with 2 other people they choose. You get to choose the fishing too like Halibut, WSB, yellows, shark or calico; or really anything that pops at the islands or on the coast. Total rules are below with most important in blue.

On this post and this one ONLY, everyone that wants to can post their 3 best choices for the name of the boat. Now this means any name I would actually call it and adhering to the forum rules that is. I don’t care to name it the name of an existing boat in the area so if you know there is a boat with that name already, then please don’t post it.

Blood thirsty, only because I like the blood thyme in the name and blood sport for the same reason. Carnivore for obvious reasons it’s my member name.

Editing: you can edit your post at the time of the post ONLY! If you want to change any of the names later on then you have to PM the changes to me and I will change them in your post. That way no one can say they said something first. I doubt it is necessary but just to be safe.

Any one that has 5 posts or more can enter and you must have been a member before today. Sorry I want people that contribute to the site to play. There are more contests coming up and even good ones hehehe. Get your posts up it could make the difference. You must be 18 to enter or get parents permission and they must accompany you on the trip.

This thread will be up from Friday March 15, 2008 until Friday March 21, 2008 at 11:59pm. Any posts to this thread after that time will be deleted. Any posts other then saying the 3 names will be deleted so PM me with questions I will add and answer them at the bottom of this post.

After the thread is closed I will post a pole with the 3 top names I like other then my own listed above. The person that receives the most votes wins the trip. I reserve the right to name the boat what ever I choose so winners choice might not be locked in but you still win regardless.

Fishing days will be at your request unless I have a trip planed for that day all ready. We will make arrangements and work things out. This trip is nontransferable and winning individual and their guests are responsible for their own transportation to the launch ramp agreed upon. Ramps are as follows MDR, Channel Islands, Ventura or Santa Barbara.

Safety gear is provided by the boat but fishing gear isn’t. You must have or bring your own gear (rods, reels, line, and terminal tackle) to fish with. I will share but don’t have enough to go around heheh. You will be responsible for your own food unless arrangements are made in advance.

I do not promise to catch fish and you must understand that fishing is just that and not catching, Fish cleaning is not provided but I will do my best at it till I pass it on. In other words when I am done I am done hehehe. I have a cleaning board and knives or you can bring your own if you wish. I will supply Ziploc bags for fillets so don’t worry about that at least.

Carnivore excursions LLC and Demon Works int. are not responsible for lost or stolen items so don’t show me anything nice you are attached to. I will take it as possession is 9/10 of the law…or so I am told. CE LLC and DW int. are not responsible for paparazzi actions, acts of god or starlets like Paris Hilton or Britney spears. Fishing has been known to cause cancer in laboratory rats and mice. It can cause nausea, vomiting, rash, sore throat, runny nose, watery eyes, upset stomach and diarrhea. Contact a physician before fishing to see if you are healthy enough to fish. Do not come near me if you are pregnant or wish to be come pregnant as I don’t want a baby. Fishing isn’t for every one and can cause sore ass, numbing of the mind and blurring of vision. Beer can do this too so it could have been that but I am most assuredly of the belief it was fishing. Fishing has been known to cause irregular heart beat, crossed eyes, bloody stool, rectal itch, and hemorrhoids. If these symptoms should arise on the trip do not bother me I will be fishing and hay I am not going down there for anything. If you are still reading this and not laughing you might want to consider professional help.

I'm going to guess one name right now and add the other two as I think of them, but I think the first one is sweet.
