Alternative fuel burning outboards?

I have not read any info on any manufacturers working on outboards for the future... I did a google and all I found was this..http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/Media....18.06.2003.htm

This is just for evinrude and it is still fossil fuel based... does anyone else have any info?

Because car motors could be easily reversed engineered to make a outboard run an a different fuel I would bet they are not waisting time on alternative fuels till someone makes one work that is more reliable then what they have now. Other then electric that is.

Now a Bio Diesel out board would be the cats meow right now. I am thinking of hitting up the local fast food joints to start making my own Bio for my truck. 4.70 is nucking futs at the pump.
