TBI Conversion Info Needed

I’m thinking of upgrading to a TBI on my 78 skip 24 open VP 350. I’ve already done some research but would like some feed back from the boating public. Has any body done this, good/bad results? I’ve seen the holly 700-21 but are there any other options/brands? Is there any more than the basic kit needed? Last but not least is price and who to buy from. As always all opinions are welcome and valuable.

Thanks in advance,
Richard

I have put a few in 4X4 rock crawlers and some street racers but never on a boat. I know in fresh water they work great but usually on higher end motors. Not sure what boat/motor you are putting it on. There are ARI, Edlebrock, Bosch, hilbourne, Bendix, competitors edge to name a few. I have installed the edlebrock the most (5) and 3 hilbourne port injection units but that is for race applications. I don't know how a TBI would hold up in salt water applications. The other thing to remember is there are thousands of fuel maps so with out being able to tune the exhaust you most likely will not get the benefit of the TBI to the expense it will be.

I almost did the same on my boat.
Decieded that more electrical parts in a salt water enviroment is not a good idea.
I ended up installing a edlebrock carb that has been sweet compaired to the quadrajet carb I had.(quadrajunk)
