News Alaska Trip !!!!!!

Here it is,
I went with a group of friends to Alaska Anglers Lodge in Sitka, AK
Last week for Four day of fishing bliss, We had great weather and really solid fishing. here are the bullet points.
Limits of King Salmon for 3 of the four days
Limits of Coho Salmon for 2 of the four days, we were pretty close to limits the rest of the time.
Limits of Ling Cod the last two days (when we were legal to fish them)
A pick bite at Halibut until the last day and then something Terrible happened
I got Bit BIG on 30lb test, a Loomis GL2 , and a Shimano Torium. This Fish was not playing around and almost spooled me on the first run, so the skipper (ROB the owner of the lodge BTW) runs to the bow ties a bouy to the top of the anchor line and cuts it!!!!! ( so we can find the anchor line later!) runs to the rear controls and starts backing down on the fish I get most of it back after a few long runs i get him close the boat and up he goes over the rail. He taped out at over 6 feet long and weighed about 205 Lbs. I recomend this lodge to anyone looking to fish hard in Sitka

great weather too it was in the 70's and sunny 3 out of 4 days, the climate is a little better in southern Alaska. if you catch it at the right time
