Im From Hawaii!

hey i need peoples opinions. Whats the best way to catch bonefish. Do I need to cast far out? What bait do I need to use? Is it the rod im using? I am using a cheap Roddy Gator Tail 6' with Penn reel. I am using the dunking method.

Thumbs up

In Florida fishing for Bonefish I use live shrimp or a D.O.A. shrimp lure or Berkley Gulp Shrimp Lure, I sight fish for them, cast ahead of them and work the bait towards the front of them....I hope that helps!

Brah, da best standard way the da locals catch O'io is with strip ika (squid) or plastic clear/white strip on a carolina type rig drag across da sand. You can also dunk squid to catch them. What would be more fun is targeting big Awaawa - up to 20-25lbs. Use a local style wooden float to cast way out using pieces of bread and hang on.
