330# warsaw grouper

Another fantastic week of fishing in Venice. The highlights include an overnight trip with capt. Rimmer that included 2 blue marlin, 6 yellowfin tuna, and a swordfish. STRONG! The most impressive catch was made by Capt. Kevin a 330# Warsaw grouper.

He caught the fish with a 12/0 Mustad circle hook 400# seaguar fluorocarbon leader and a chunk of tuna belly from one of the many large tuna we have been catching.

Just thought that fish deserved another picture. Rimmer wasn’t the only one the get in on the marlin action Kevin also manager one about 300# as well. The tuna fishing remains fantastic with as many huge blackfin as you could want and several large yellowfin mixed in as well. Yesterday we were releasing 30 pound blackfin by 10:30 in the morning.

Sorry about the lack of pictures but I haven’t been able to get any from Kevin or Rimmer we’ve just been too busy. I’m heading back down to Venice tonight to fish Mon Tues and will have another report and hopefully a bunch more photos of both the next couple of days as well as this past week. To get in on the action look us up.
