Hello,
I'm a newbie also. My name is Michael. I was referred to this board
by Scott at ARC. I'm new to deep sea fishing but I've fished all my life
(freshwater, pier, jetty, surf, some barge fishing) My brothers got me
hooked on deep sea a year ago. Most of my fishing now is done in
the Sierras on a float tube or fly fishing streams. I'm looking forward
to going on my first 5 day this year. I've been wrapping my own rods
this year in preparation for the Summer trips in San Diego. I look
forward to fishing locally here in Ventura Co.

Welcome zooman, I too have fished quite a bit in the sierras, but not with a long rod I do use a fly and bubble though. Can I still call myself a flyfisherman? Just kiddin, anyway welcome dude, sit back and enjoy you will have a good time.

Hey Creekster, I started out that way, with the fly and bubble and
sometime even go back to that. I'm not one of those "elitist"
flyfishermen..... I can't afford to be.. but I do enjoy it and also lure
fishing, you have fun too and
