Smile Hello and I have a question

Hello everyone, my name is Trevor, nice to see a website out there so dedicated to fishing ^_^ I have a question though, I live in california, and I'm gonna be going fishing for 3 days down at Jalama beach, it's bottom is really sandy and flat, I was wondering what was the best way to catch Halibut out there.

Ya live bait works well but hard to cast and work the surf with it. You can trolley rig it might help. The other thing that has worked well is Berkley Gulp baits using the copper or bronze 2 inch shrimp on a rubber core weight about 18 " up the line from the bait.

Top 3 are the best fight depending on size of the fish.

batrays rule...why i went on multiple overnight trips to the islands, made squid...and set up for the greylight batray bite...it actually was a wide open all night bite...so much fun..catchign a 100+..rips up all my tackle...eats the bait before any game fish can get to it..what more can one ask for....yeh...a seal....<guh>
