Smile Back to California after 20 Years

I can not believe I will be returning to Claifornia after 20 years in Florida. Time to get back with my family and get back on the TUNA. Oh sure we have tons of fish in Florida, but I miss those long range boats and the Friends and Family. In Fact, I have hooked large amounts of bass, reds, snook. sea trout to the point of getting bored, but I have never been bored catching a Tuna, just physical beat up.
I ride my Harley whenever I can find the time and spent time building fishing rods for myself, it is a ton of fun when using a rod that one builds for themselve. When I get back home, I plan on going on a five or ten day trip.
I also hope to review my friendship with the guys I grew up with and see Doc Ski again. I also hope to join a rod building club in California as I recall I BUILD my first rod at the Fly Fishernman store in the valley over 40 years ago, I wonder if it still exist??
Hope to meet many of my fellow fisherman when I return to Rowland Heights, California. You take care.

Welcome NachoOne! you'll love it here! Coming back from the DarkSide? I've got a house in Key West always love going back, but the wife doesn't want to live in Hurricane country.

WELCOME

And welcome home too I guess

Doc Ski is in the Ventura County area. My nephew hangs out with some friends next door to him.

I relocated about 3 or 4 years ago from California to Florida. I am now over on the East Central coast South of the Cape and North of Sebastian. I fish both inshore and offshore so get a good mixed bag on fish.

Sounds as though you haven't moved yet so come on down to Sebastian Inlet the big snook (20 lb range) are running right now.

Enjoy

Thanks for the warm welcome. Can not wait to get back home. Also, I will be at Sebantian Inlet this weekend. It is great fishing and tons for fun. BUT, that current is the fastest in the world, it is like the Kern River.

I fish the Inlet often. Will be out this Saturday night for some snook fishing. Was supposed to go out Swordfishing but with the weather predictions (9' seas) that isn't going to happen. So Night Time Snook Fishing is the plan.

Will probably hit some docks as the inlet will be a mad house on a weekend.

Right now the BIG over slot Snook are at the tip of the Jetty on tide changes. Croaker, Whiting and Pig Fish have been the ticket for the 20lb plus Snook. Seems the outgoing has been better.

Only posting this as the locals for the inlet don't come on this site so enjoy but sounds as though you know your stuff.
