What is your "go to" surf tackle?? Down in Vero Beach, i use an 8 foot fly blank and a shamano 2500 with 6 lb line and catch a ton of 2 - 3 lbs surf fish. They are like pulling tuna with the light takle. Bait, nothing but dead srimp. it works for me. I ws catching so many fish, that i had a crowd of kids following me, so i let them catch a fish and let their moms and pops take pictures with the fish, reel and rod. had about 29 kids 59 parents taking pictures. Now that was fun, best part was it was the first time i went surf fishing ever in Florida in twenty years. it was a blast.
