New "OLD" Guy
Hi,
I found this site through the Lobster Hoop Netting Link yesterday.
I had my very first experience "Hoop Netting" Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. I got an invite from a friend of my daughters Sunday morning.
This was a guy I met at her church in Point Loma...I had known him maybe 5 minutes when he asked me to join him and another great guy later that day lobster fishing.
We were on the water at about 5pm and dropped our first net by about 6.
We set a total of 7 nets and went back to the first one and pulled it.
We knew we were going the have a great night when we found 13 bugs in the net. Although only one was legal and the rest were released it was a great start. We continued pulling and setting nets for about two more hours and landed somewhere between 50 and 60 bugs along with an assortement of other sea creatures including one monster moray eel.
We ended up keeping 11 lobster of legal size.
I have to tell you I'm hooked (or netted in this case). I will be doing more hoop netting.
By the way...this is an awesome sith and I will be spending some time here.
