Arrow New to Ventura/Oxnard area
I'm Dan a meatcutter with Ralphs new to up here....I hunt & fish it all ocean, fresh, spear, dive & freedive....I just transferred up here from Dana Point..I work alot but wanted to say HI...and will try to post some pix of down south so far surf fishing up here hasnt produced anything worthy...just sharks n small rays...am looking for a good bass/halibut area surf action or anything but sharks n rays...ty Dan

Hey Dan,welcome to beautiful Oxnard and Get Bent .I dont spearfish or freedive or anything but both N. and S. of us is some bitchin' places.Leo Carrillo (about 25 so. on PCH)kicked out a new world record seabass this last year.Also N. both below and above Santa barbara there miles of coastal kelp with shoreline access.Including Refugio(like Pineapple said)and El Capitan.

Welcome to the site. I got the alert about your screen name and thought you might be a spammer heheh. I have to say that Meatcutter/chiropractic Intern is about the widest difference in occupations I have seen so far.

Summer should bring in better surf fishing with some nice halibut on the coast here. Don't forget to post when your going to fish some people would most likely join ya. Good luck and thanks for joining GetBent.
