Hello from Oregon

Hello all,

Just thought I would cruise through the board and read about all the fun fishing I'm missing out on. I moved to Portland area back in August and I'm trying to learn the fishing here. I have caught several shaker(undersized) Sturgeon, and lots of sm bass. I have yet to catch a salmon or steel head, but I will keep trying. If and when I do I will post a report for you guys. I do hear lots of talk about the upcoming tuna season, so that gives me a glimmer of hope and fun to come.

Hi Randi,

Welcome to Oregon. Really, our winters don't usually last this long here......snow at sea level in April......Whatever!

Anyway, albacore fishing here has been pretty fantastic the last few years and we're all hoping for a good run again this year since there will be no ocean salmon season for us here.
