Newbie from North Cali

Hello!

I am new to forums but not to fishing. Lived in Eureka Cali my whole life. We go after Salmon & Steelies salt and fresh. Sharks, Rays, Butts and Sturgeon in Humboldt Bay. I fish the surf, rocks and jetties for perch and rockfish. I Rockpick Abs and pokepole eels. my freinds and I go to shasta, Trinity nad whiskeytown for bass, trout and kokes. I have an old fiberform for the ocean with a new yamaha on it , Radar, Gps, Sonar. I use either a 12 ft mirrocraft or a crestliner bassboat in fresh. I am a "Public servant" in the prison industrial complex so I work four days on then four days off. Lots of time to fish. This is a great site. I am going to hit N Humboldt bay for redtails after work today. I will report back then.

Welcome to getbent, glad you joined up. Lots of civil servants here so you are in good company. Than again there are a few ex members of the incarceration system here too, LOL. Here we are all just fisherman out to have a good time and forget about the real world.

Thanks for the warm welcome, the report as of 05/09/08 is Largemouths and stocker rainbows on fire in Freshwater lagoon. Water is only 62.5 degrees fishing will warm with the water. High winds had me a zilch for several tries in Humboldt and Trinidad bays. Trinity lake is about 60 feet low but the smallies didn't know and they hammered jigs under the docks.
