Hello to my new fishing buddies
Hello to all from Ventura!!

I found this site while visiting Fisherman's Supply in Ventura, CA. The good folks over there are great at providing good advice, and appropriate tackle. I picked up a couple Get Bent t-shirts for me ane the wifey while there.

The wifey is from Huntington Beach, so we come to CA regularly. I have had my little beach bunny land locked in Texas for 25 years. She demands a trip to the coast a couple times a year, so we normally go to Port Aransas or San Luis Pass near Galveston, TX. Both are great fishing spots if you ever get to Texas.

I must admit, the California coast has Texas beat hands down when it comes to pure beauty of the coastal area. It is stunning here in Ventura and Santa Barbara. The fishing is about the same, just different species.

I am a native Texan, born in Waco, now residing in Dallas. I have a CPA firm in Plano. My dad took me fishing when I was 4 and I have been hooked ever since.

I love the forums for information from folks who know. And this site is a goodn one. I lurked for a couple days before jumping on. I look forward to sharing information on here with all my new fishing buddies!
