Just saying hi.

Hi guys and gals,
Just saying hi and introducing myself.
As my name suggests, I'm from New Zealand, but currently living in Japan. The fishing is crap here, but I do a lot when I'm back in NZ. Fishing prefs are for bottom and reef fishing mainly, from my small (3.6M) boat, but surf as well as land-based game for kingfish in NZ as well, when I can.
I'm a bit of a tackle-ho, and spend a bit of time and money acquiring and rebuilding/tweaking reels, esp Penn 113H's in their various configurations - open drag, greased drag, tib/accurate frames, hi-speed gears etc.
Anyone want to get rid of any????
So mucking around with essentially obsolete, but well-built and long-lasting American reels keeps me occupied, and motivated while I am here. Get almost as much fun building the tools as using them!
Almost....
Anyway, that's me.
Guess I'll see you on the posts.
Simon.

Welcome Simon, just signed up to this site myself. New Zealand home of the monster Yellowtail (Kingfish). I was checking out a boat called AMF from New Zealand. You sure know how to build them out there.

Welcome....NZ, huh? you can catch those monster yellows, aka "Kingfish" right off the rocks there, can't you...Always wanted to fish there....maybe someday........

My favorite reel is the Penn 505HS...can't find them anywhere.....Do you have a hook-up for them????

Welcome to the site...AWESOME!!!
