How's it going? Finally decided to register to this site. Are most of the people here in SD? I'm here in Downey and do most of my fishing at Huntington, Bolsa, Sunset, Seal, Belmont, well you get the idea. I like to do surf fishing, just trying to find out where decent spots are at. Anyway, thanks for my 1 minute of fame posting..

Hey Keith welcome to the Get Bent Sportfishing jungle. I'm in Florida but a lot of the guys are in California with a couple of them in San Diego and the surrounding areas.

I sure hope that you have more than 1 Minute of Fame on these boards as we want to see some reports from you of successful fishing trips and maybe even a few get-togethers with others from this board or your friends.

pEsCaDoR and Baitfish are in San Diego and Crawford and a few others are from Orange County, then we a have some more members in the LA area and then the Wild and Woolly VC Group - watch out for them - some of the best people in the world but just a little bit off (if ya know what I mean). Thanks for the welcome Sinker. I'm sure I'll post on here a lot more.

Wow! Florida, there's some nice fishing for ya. Not used to the fish species here in LA County yet. I like to catch O'io (bonefish), which they have in San Diego, and Papio (skip jack, trevally). But hey, it's FISHING! So I'm definitely not going to complain.

Welcome to the board K__H.... looking forward to your reports. Crawford and a few others should be able to help you find some good spots in your area... I'm in Ventura County and don't fish down there much.

Tight lines dude!

WELCOME I love it when new members post and let us all know they want to join in the fun. I was going to say the same thing as flipper but if you are hitting the bone fish then you are ahead of the game by allot. Pescador is down SD way and is the bone fish guru so far but he might have his work cut out for him hehehe. It's all about fishing and fun and fun fishing around here so glad you joined and now LET'S FISH!!!

Hey welcome to the boards. Yeah I pretty much fish the Orange County area and to tell you the truth I haven't been shore fishing in a month or two. Pretty much for the reasons that I wanna drive my car as little as possible and well, because the best time for me to fish is in the mornings and well most mornings I'm not really in good enough shape to wake up early from the previous nights activities. Anyways, I do wanna try the Newport jetty at the Wedge soon and if you have any questions I'll be happy to try and help you out.

Thanks crawford for the offer, I will definitely ask if I have any questions. I've gone down to Newport a couple times fishing near the docks on the back side of that mobile home park just on the left side after the bridge. Caught two small baby sharks and a nice sice spotted bass from that area. You have to drive through the mobile home park to get to the parking lot in the back and of course they don't like people to go back there unless you live there or have a boat at the dock. Haven't got caught yet but if you clean up after yourself and don't cause trouble, it's all good.
