howdy yall, i see i am on here with a bunch of left coast folks, me bein down here on the right coast and at the bottom!

first off a little about me. i fish...everyday....my wife thinks i fish too much, my kids could care less, as long as they get to go once and a while.

i have just become sponsered, and plan to take on the redfish tour next year. i fish for: quasi jig saltwater lures, custom gheenoe shallow water fishing boats, and capt.dick's small craft fishing accesories. i mainly target redfish, but dont mind any other fish jumpin on board, with the exception of the trash fish.

i would like to offer any person visiting the area (east central florida) to contact me via email, would love to help you get on fish weather by tips and places to go, or by putting you out and on 'em. no worries, i aint a guide, and all my info is the best kind....free!(not neccasarily always good advice though[img]smileys/

Good to see you've joined GetBentSportfishing, and your from the east coast. We need more guys like yourself here to round out the circle of fishing buddy's here at GetBent. Sinker (father of Getbent), and Twister are two other guys I can think of off the top of my head on the eastern coastline. I'm sure y'all will have lots to share.... as for us west coast guys... we still love to hear about that WFO east coast style of fishing... honestly... I wish I was over there with ya! ..maybe someday.

Anyhow, your knowledge and participation will be greatly valued here... we all look forward to reading your reports, seeing some lunker pictures, and hearing your stories...

Welcome! Gerald has told me a lot about you. I have fished for years but am new to the fishing out here in Florida and frankly it has been a little weird to NOT know where to go to catch fish, NOT knowing the ID's of fish, their feeding patterns etc., etc. For the first time in a long time I feel like a newbie all over again. I have not been able to devote the time I have wanted to getting acquainted with the fishing here. If you ever need to fill a seat I am an e-mail or phone call away. As Flipper said (Flipper by the way used to fish out here when the Dragon was still standing on the South Tip of Merritt Island) Twister and myself are about the only East Central Florida folks posting on this board. Twister is an SRO and SWAT member of the Sebastian PD and likes the inshore fishing and offshore fishing. I enjoy any type of fishing and would fish a mud puddle if I thought it held fish.

By the way I will take any lessons, advice and/or help you can offer to get me up to speed. I fish Fresh and Salt - Inshore, Offshore, Piers/Jetties and Shore. I have a boat but need a new one.

Congrats on the new Gheenoe - Gerald said you just got a new one.

BTW - Our California BBQ Jam is coming up the end of this month and of course you are indeed invited.

guys thanks alot for the welcome!

i have found that aside from getting on the water and giving a toss or two at your fish of choice these forums provide a lot of the joy you find in fishing. friendship, humor in the sometimes stupid things we do in an effort to gain the upperhand on our quarry, and advice. advice being something that this angler has gladly taken and used.

i will always try to provide the best possible information, always betruthful, and above all, always humbily accept any knowledge i can gain to futher my skills. as i had posted, anytime my seat is empty, anyone is invited.

sinker, i am off work all next week, i prefer to fish weekdays, early mornings (0600-ish) and as of now tue. and fri are the only days i have filled. if you are interested, wed. or thu iwould love to show you the famed waters of the mosquito lagoon. i will drop you an email mon. sometime or if you see this before hand, feel free to email me costefishnt@4everwright.com
