VERY NICE, planning ahead I like it.

PFIC is a good book to own. Do you have the 1st or 2nd Edition or both? If you have the second then you are fine (not to mention that yours truly is in it along with a few others here). This would mean you have already found pierfishing.com (in-fact I think I have responded to one of your posts there) a good California site indeed. If I remember correctly you have also already visited PierHeads site as well for your trip to Goleta.

Goleta is a nice place to fish with pretty good action and variety although for the most part on the small side.

Check out Songslingers site as well for some good Perch information.

Remember you are always welcome here as are your reports and pictures. Next time you in check out some of our Music Montages(my favorites - Screamin Reels & Get'n Bent).

You can start researching some of the coastline at California Coastal Records Project.

You can also download WXTide.32 for your PC to get local tide information.

I did 3 years in Germany - Bad Kreuznach with the 8th ID. Lots of good fishing around, try to get some in before you leave. Was also able to fish while visiting Austria and England.

Enough for now but ask any questions you have, the guys here, well there in California are Great and you will be there in time for next years Get Bent Sportfishing's California BBQ Jam and the PFIC Get-Together as well.

Again welcome to Get bent Sportfishing and soon to California.

If you're going to Goleta, you have to check out Pierhead's excellent website: http://pierhead.freeservers.com/

Pierhead has handed some of the webmaster duties to Amo_Pescare, who is continuing the fine work. There is a great bunch of regulars there. If you see an RV with a satellite dish in the parking lot, knock on the door and introduce yourself to Pierhead, aka Boyd.
