The water pump with all the head ache you have to go through to seal it I would goto pepboys and buy a new one for 29 bucks. Thank god it's a 350 so stuff is cheap and plentiful other then exhaust manifolds (YIKES). The trailer is a different story and you need to make sure it is for that hull design. I don't know island hopper is his boat in the water now or is the trailer it is on need replacing?

Thank You Carnivore but they guy at the boat show said not to try to use auto parts because they aren't made for saltwater. I'm looking for a parts dealer around Ventura County. Also My boat is on the trailer but the trailer is still useable barely.

Well if you buy both and compare you will see that the boat one is painted with crylon in side and the other isn't and the boat one is or should be about twice as much. If you can get it for around the same price then you are good to go but after looking into them for my boats 350 I am going with the pepboys one. Now I will say that some of the newer pumps have another hose that comes off the inlet that runs to the head and if that is what you have then you will have to get the marine one because the motor doesn't use a thermostat it uses a disk with a regulator hole and that hose pushes water past it so the heads won't over heat and run speed or high RPMs.

As for the trailer I don't have an extra but I was put onto a guy that makes them and has them galvanized for around a grand less then the trailer places sell for. Not sure if it is accurate and will be calling him tomorrow to find how true it is. If so then I will pass it on but depending on how far you want to travel to get one I hear they go for pennies on the dollar in Oregon.
