When in the Navy many years ago, we were in the pacific and encountered several severe hurricanes. Absolutely awsome... can't even walk without bouncing from bulkhead to bulkhead. The bow must be 50-60' high.

Note the 3" gun turrets just behind the bow.

And, sorry about the quality, here's a pic of the spray generated by the bow hitting a swell. The entire front of the ship was underwater and the spray covered the gun turrets and flybridge!
Eating was impossible and many of the crew were seasick! Makes life interesting, eh?
