San Diego boat show.

Looks like I am going to head down this weekend wasn't sure if anyone was interested in going. I am going to be looky looing all day so plan on a long one if ya do. Here is the info if your interested. San Diego Boat Show

LA boat show is February 9-17 2008 so if you don't want to trek to San Diego then this might be a better one especially if it is raining this weekend.

i dont think its really about looking for a boat going to these shows..but dreaming of a boat..As a boat owner..i still dont miss a show. The SD one is a bit to far, i will wait for the LA boat show. Leave my drool marks on the Skagit Orca 27xl like i do every year.
Have fun drew.

I did buy my boat at the LA boat show 3 yrs back tho..wait till the last day and you can see the hunger in thier eyes..easy prey...screw salesman...turn the tables on them and hunt them down...throw the bait..and watch them SWALLOW it..then let off on the drag a bit and let them run..Finally when they get tired...bring em to the boat sink a gaff and sign the dotted line...Just like fishing
I walked away with a very decent deal for my boat. Better then i would get from the showroom floors.

Its funny but this is likely the first year I will miss the San Diego show. Looking at the vendors there isn't anyone I am interested in. Hardly any representation for the sail community. Several dealers but no big manufacture support. There are more boats at LA, Long Beach or Fred Hall Del Mar. Usually love San Diego but last year was really bad. The only good thing is the traditional free year of a boating Mag.

Ya not sure I am thinking of putting the camper on and heading down instead of a one day all day thing. I don't know the latest rain projections are 3 to 8 inches in the mountains so if it hits the 8 inch mark it is going to pour buckets. So much of a dryer winter hehehe.
