Hey, how about this for a "Off Topic Central" thread.
I am happy to see Les bought a new ride. Now he won't wipe out so much in the surf and he will be able to go farther with less effort.
Take a look.

That was last week.

Today.
While I was at home, minding my own business. I heard barking and yipping, to a higher level than what I am used to. I stopped the DVD show I was watching,( Dog the bounty hunter. lol), to wait and hear if I can make out what is going on. It was an obvious dog fight, but I could also hear a human screaming to the pit-bulls, so I thought the situation on the other side of the fence was being taken care of by my annoying neighbors........................I was wrong.
Here is the situation: 3 pit-bulls. One female, two males. The female was chained to a wall. The other two males were free to roam anywhere in the enclosed yard. The owners of the dogs were not at home when the fight broke out. Two high school kids from up the street tried to get the dogs to stop by banging on the fence and yelling, with no avail.
All pictures were taken up behind the block fence. Hence the angle you see.
Here is the first male pit-bull.
This is
THE skinniest I have ever seen him. I can see the outline of his hips........ Scary ! Take a close look at him.
Here is the almost dead female.
WARNING!!!!
I removed the pic and set it up as a link. Lookers beware, it is NOT a
pretty sight. This picture will only disturb you. Notice the chain around the neck. The dog is almost dead. She barely moved her head and eyelids when I looked over. Enjoy

Right when we found out this happened. Someone called the Ventura animal control. She arrived shortly, called the sheriff to get access to the yard and took all the dogs away. These poor animals were mistreated by my neighbors ever since they moved here over a year ago. I am going to file all of my complaints I had about these dogs now because it is the best time to do it when they are in custody.
Cool thread huh?
