Mike, Remember just a short while ago when you posted about the great new job you got that was going to pay $200,000+ a year, and lots of us said BS or it looks too good to be true? It doesn't look so good now that we have a little more info.

Whether you decide to relocate or not, insist that the company pay you for everything that you have earned to date, hourly plus promised commission before you commit to relocation. If they don't pay what they owe then you have your own answer.

Sounds like they are using you as slave labor and no them moving you is not equal to your pay. If they won't pay you THEN help you move BAIL AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

Another thing if your boss embezzled from the company and they didn't fire him then they are hurting for people in that position, another tell tail sign for you to RUN.

To be honest I would be at labor relations in the morning filing against the company but that is just me.

i agree with you guys, on the hurting 4 people. this branch had 20 people when i started. now we have 9. oh, and talked to the owner, and the date to leave got pushed to monday. and im bein placed in miami. i dont understand where the motives for relocating me come from, especially since as you guyssaid, i have no qualifications other than willingness to work. well... i dunno. i wanna bail, but this seems like an adventure to me. plus, theyre gettin me 500 up front, and thats just a bonus 'for me being so loyal and dedicated to the company' does anyone besides me realize that along with them hurting for employees, this translates as "thank you so much for staying with us and not jumping ship like we all know you probably should?"

Ok I have questions, you just started this job and no one told you it would be relocating? Relocations aren't generally haphazard. Also are they offering to pay relocation costs? Are they paying for a trip to apartment hunt? Sorry but I have to ask what is the name of the company? Change is a constant but something like this can leave you with the company holding you by the balls or worse.

You can always go back to plan A and join the service.
