The Havoc of Our Lives
WOW!!
I am glad I have been way too busy to have had the time to follow this from the start. Yes, it’s true I have been reducing my consumption of GB, but I have not quit, just watching my consumption of it, all things in moderation, LOL! I believe the best thing for all is to take a deep breath and relax. I challenge each and every one over thirty to think back and remember when you were eighteen. Some of us were goody two shoes, geeks, stoners and an incredible array of the aforementioned adjectives as well as many other perspectives in relation to our formative years, LOL, way to funny formative years!!
Obviously, havoc1114 surely picked the correct User Name! I believe his contributions quandaries and questions have affected the members of this site in more ways than one. Still a part of me connects with him.
It is up to each of us to contribute, or not, in his dilemma and search, to find the truth and answers to his quandary.
In all honesty he is a young man trying to find himself! Also each generation perceives the exact same action or occurrence differently than other generations. Not to mention cultures, religion, parents, environment and many other factors. The one thing that is for sure is eventually he will learn. How fast or slow depends on a variety of variables.
If I can be so bold to admit one of my own shortcomings your perspective of his situation might change. We all know how youth affects our reasoning skills, when your young anything is possible I believe the best phrase to convey this attitude is, “NO FEAR”. It should be, “NO KNOWLEDGE” but it’s not.
When I was approximately 28 years old I realized that I could have easily played professional hockey. I started playing the sport when I was six, made all star teams every year after the age of nine was spotted by a scout from a professional team at the age of sixteen. I was offered at that moment to play for the minors at age seventeen in Canada and then if I could cut the mustard play pro at eighteen. Well to make a long story short I was to consumed by sex, drugs and rock & roll at the age of fifteen and on to even realize the potential offer that was laid before me at the tender age of sixteen.
Ignorance is what stopped me from making a living playing a sport I loved. Stupidity is definitely in the mix when you look at the choices I made in my youth, but ignorance was the determining factor.
We have all heard, “If I knew what I know now then, things would be different.”
So I offer you all the following in closing.
Youth
Ignorance
And of course Stupidity

Welcome back...this thread is so typical of you...
So when did you come out on the other side? or still living there?
Some have to learn by smashing thier heads as hard as possible on the wall..and then do it some more..True life lessons are earned.

The post was more directed to the rest of us in having compassion for a young gun. But you made me laugh hard by your comment about Phishy.
Yes Boss the cabin floor is clean see I’m eating off it.
