Mike, at least you have a goal. I know a ton of kids your age without even that going for them. At 18 I was blessed enough to have a trade, so it was a bit easier for me, and I can tell ya that I screwed it up and had less goals, so keep on truckin. good idea on filing the apps, get as many out as you can; the more you get out, the better your chances. Remember, dress for the job you want, not the one you have, so remember that when dropping off your applications. Again, good luck man.

thanks for all the support, everyone, and jeph, if theres anything im good at its persistence. i wonder if its because im determined to suceed, or too stubborn to fail. either way, im making the best of what i have and all the help is very much appreciated.

I like Dairy Queen. My lifelong goal has been to be the soft ice cream dispenser dispenserer. Then, I wanted to move up to be the dipper of the ice cream cone into the melted chocolate.

My truly dream goal was then to be the guy who gets to spend his entire day in the drive-through speaker box:

"Would you like everything on your DQBURGER? Would you like cheese on your DQBURGER? How about some fries or onion rings? A rootbeer freeze sure would go great with the DQ-now-cheeseburger with added onion rings."

This next question may be on the wrong board, but I GOTTA ASK:

Do any of you think that Dairy Queen should make a fish sandwich?

No Dairy Queen should only have Ice Cream because it is the best of the 4 food groups. That being Beer, meat, soda, ice cream. I was scooper at Hogen Doz and that was 150 extra pounds ago, not a job I suggest anyone that likes to be thin and stealthy.

Worst job ever: 3M testing Asama inhalers. 10 hours of sitting an pushing an inhaler tube 3 times to insure it worked. All inhalers are guaranteed to work so they have to check them. Lasted 2 weeks.
Second worst job: Steam system cleaner for off company of Amgen. Had it been Amgen I would have stayed but 10 hours of watching water mixed with orange oil run through the steam system of the pill production plant was enough for me. Lasted 3 weeks.
Third worst: high school working at Carl's Jr. Lasted 4 weeks.

Have to agree with Joey.

Some are using this site and these threads to just be jerks and spew nonsense adding to the negativity that is growing on this site.

Time to get out and fish and give us some reports.

REMEMBER - If you don't have anything nice to say then maybe you shouldn't say anything.

Many have made their feelings perfectly clear, to continue making smart a$$ posts only makes you no better than a bully.

We do not allow flaming others or other site so just let it go.
